Need any help? [It's not so much that she wants to help them, more that it looks like a fun distraction while she tries to not think too hard about all the things that just flooded back into her brain a few days ago.]
[Don't ask why she knows that. ...what do people do for romantic things... And then, what could they be persuaded to do without knowing that it is a date (preferably in a situation where she can stalk the awkwardness).]
[She's not exactly an expert here - she's never been particularly interested in music, and dates with her are usually quick affairs that develop out of late night acquaintancies and end the next morning.
But watching those awkward turtles is too much fun to not do it while it lasts and gives her something to preoccupy herself with that is not echoes and networks. That is totally her reason for participating here.]
And I bet he's too honorable [It's obvious that she thinks little of that quality] to let you feet the bill.
i play all sorts but yeah i think he was more into rock he is i had an old itouch and it took a lot of arm twisting before he realized that it's a gift and not some kind of extra baggage or something nutty kid
Get your hands on tickets for a concert marked as "free". Tell him that you don't want to go alone and that he should bring along a friend or two as well, depending on the number of tickets. Grab additional friends after it has started and abandon the terrier and his hot chick.
Just play up some kind of your friends are all busy but you got the tickets anyway, don't do the bailed date one, that was an idiotic move.
it sometimes works and it wasn't a total lie got a charity thing and no date for it maybe i'll invite a couple of friends to tag along to make it more legit just say something like a couple had to go elsewhere or something
